As part of a Bachelor thesis a prototype client has been developed, in order to allow the analysis of Mars Geospatial data using the Planetary Service of the EarthServer (earthserver.eu FP7 project, aka PlanetServer (planetserver.eu) on a tablet. During development the focus was on comparing a native and web based development process with respect to reusability of the current technology stack without neglecting the performance aspect. The result is the first touch-enabled prototype of PlanetServer allowing basic analysis of data.
