Presentations
FOSS4G-Europe invites submission of abstracts for presentations. These are 20 minutes long with five minutes for questions and hopefully answers.
Workshops and Tutorials
Workshops are three hours practical courses, including hands-on sessions for all participants. Access to specific servers etc. that presenters may wish to use is possible via WLAN.
Workshop presenters will have to provide their slides and, optionally, extra material for attendees. This material will have to be provided to the conference organizers in advance for upload to the conference server.
Tutorials are 1.5 hours.
For each workshop / tutorial, one presenter gets conference fees waived.
Abstract Submission Guidelines
All abstracts must be submitted as single-page PDF files, written in English language, via email at (allow Javascript for mail address)!
Each abstract must contain title, author(s) with affiliations, and a body text giving objectives, methods used, results, comparison with related approaches, and conclusions.
A reference list is strongly encouraged. Inclusion of images is fine. Abstracts must not exceed one printed A4 page.
Important: Clearly indicate the type of presentation (talk, workshop, tutorial, scientific track) which the submission is aiming for!
There is no limit on the number of abstracts that one person can send; likewise, one author can contribute to any number of abstracts.
Submission of an abstract constitutes a commitment by its authors to present if selected, and at least one of the authors is required to register. Abstracts will be scheduled for presentation only if registration, including payment, has been received in due time (see Important Dates"). Accepted abstracts where none of the authors has registered before the deadline will be canceled, and their time slot will be rescheduled for other purposes.
Selection of abstracts by the Program Committee is done according to quality and relevance, also giving consideration to overall program balance.
