Following established tradition, FOSS4G-Europe organizes an academic track which will run single-track over one day. FOSS4G-Europe invites original research contributions on all aspects of open-source geo software and its application, and particularly encourage submissions focusing on the special topics INSPIRE and Big Data. All types of papers are welcome, such as on results achieved, case studies, work in progress, and demos. We discourage, however, mere presentations of technology or use cases without properly justifying originality against the scientific state of the art and particular outcomes of the work. All submissions will be assessed by the Program Committee on their overall quality (such as originality and clarity) and relevance.
In collaboration with the following high-ranking journals,outstanding contributions will be published in a special issue of high-impact journals; we have made arrangement with the following journals:

- International Journal of Spatial Data Infrastructures Research

We accept full papers (up to 12 pages) as well as demos and work in progress papers (up to 4 pages).
Submissions must be done in PDF format exclusively, and must adhere to the ACM formatting instructions. To submit the paper please send it via email to (allow Javascript for mail address)!
A blind review process will select papers based on their merits in scientific novelty, convincingly relating of the state of the art, presentation of the paper, and overall quality. Authors will receive feedback and hints for improvement.
